We are seeking experienced and motivated Business Analysts to support the delivery of critical IT projects within a government environment. This role requires on-site presence at least 3 days per week in Canberra to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and delivery teams.Security ClearanceApplicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents. Candidates on temporary or work visas will not be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project managers, SMEs, and technical teams to define business problems and design effective solutions.Document high-level and detailed business requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications, user cases, and scenarios.Analyse and map business processes, user pathways, and data flows.Serve as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery success.Support continuous improvement efforts across enterprise IT platforms and business processes.Essential CriteriaMinimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst on federal or state government projects.Proven ability to produce high-quality documentation, including requirements, process maps, procedures, and guidelines.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.Holds industry-recognised Business Analyst certification.Experience working on projects involving legislative change.Background in delivering safety or regulatory solutions (e.g., maritime, air, road).Desirable CriteriaExperience in incident, emergency, or first responder systems.Background in creating business blueprints or high-level overviews.Skilled in Azure DevOps and agile ceremonies such as scrums.Experience with platforms like Dynamics365, SmartIQ (Intelledox), HTML forms, identity services, and portals.
