Responsibilities
* Design reinforced concrete, steel, timber, pre‑cast concrete, and masonry structures (including buildings, bridges, sewage treatment plants, and schools).
* Develop small to medium‑scale commercial, residential, and industrial projects, plus civil infrastructure projects.
* Mentor and inspire junior engineers, nurturing the next generation of technical leaders.
* Provide technical leadership and client liaison, acting as a trusted advisor while preparing proposals, reports, and cost estimates.
* Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver sustainable, future‑ready solutions.
Qualifications
* 7 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer in the Building Services environment, ideally from a consultancy background.
* Requirement for Defence clearance, or the ability to obtain clearance which requires Australian Citizenship. Experience with defence projects is highly regarded.
* Engineering Degree (Structural).
* Accredited as a structural engineer in the Northern Territory, or be able to obtain accreditation if successful.
* Demonstrated proactive, client‑centric approach, contributing to business growth through new and existing client opportunities.
* Robust project management capabilities, confidently serving as the technical lead across diverse projects.
* Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Strong desire to mentor others and the experience required to offer technical leadership.
