About the role
As a Processing Technician (Electrical) – CHPP, you will be responsible for safe operation, fault finding, maintenance support, and optimisation of electrical and control systems within the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). This is a hands‐on role working across fixed plant equipment, instrumentation, and automation systems within a fast‐paced processing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor, operate and troubleshoot CHPP electrical systems.
* Perform fault finding and diagnostics on plant equipment.
* Isolate and de‐isolate electrical systems in accordance with site procedures.
* Follow safe working practices in accordance with site safety protocols and relevant legislation.
* Complete tasks within set timeframes, ensuring efficiency and minimal disruption to operations.
* Participate in hazard identification and ensure a proactive approach to safety on site.
About You
* Ability to operate stockpile dozer (CAT D10/D11) essential
* QLD Electrical Licence
* Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic capability
* Skilled in plant operations and control systems (e.g., CITECT SCADA)
* A demonstrated commitment to safety and best practices in a high‐risk environment
* Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines efficiently
