About the role
We are seeking Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team in our client's aged care facility located in Young, NSW.
Multiple shifts available across 7 days. (6.30am – 2.30pm, 7.00am – 3.00pm and 4.00pm – 7.30pm)
Part-time and Casual roles are available.
Weekend and Public holiday Loadings apply.
The successful applicant must have received at least two doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine and provide a current Federal Police Check certificate or be willing to apply for one.
Skills and experience
* Aged Care experience is desirable, but not necessary.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines.
* Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
* The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing meal service to elderly residents.
* Cleaning of kitchen, serveries and dining room set up.
* Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents.
* Washing dishes and plating of meals.
* Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen.
* Function set up and clear down.
* Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day-to-day tasks.
* Food and beverage service.
