What You'll Do Comprehensive Assessments : Conduct thorough assessments of children, young people, and families to identify strengths, needs, and risks. Individualised Care Planning : Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with clients and stakeholders. Crisis Intervention : Provide timely support during crises to ensure safety and stability. Advocacy : Advocate for clients to access necessary resources and services. Skill Development : Facilitate evidence-based parenting programs and workshops. Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate care. Documentation : Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with organisational standards. Cultural Sensitivity : Ensure services are culturally safe and inclusive, respecting the diverse backgrounds of clients. What You'll Need Qualifications: Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Demonstrated experience in child protection, family support, or community services. Knowledge: Understanding of child protection legislation and out-of-home care frameworks. Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Essential: Possess a National Police Check, Working with Children (Blue Card), Licensed Care Service (Child Protection) or the ability to acquire.
