You’ll gain hands-on experience across both design and estimating, with structured training provided as your capability develops, all within a stable organisation with a strong pipeline of work and genuine career growth opportunities.
You’ll benefit from:
* Permanent, full-time role with long-term stability
* Exposure to a wide variety of projects across education, government, resources and commercial sectors
* Opportunity to learn estimating and pre-construction skills on the job
* Exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept through to delivery
* Career development within a growing Australian operation
* Access to employee benefits including Bursary Program, EAP and Share Purchase Plan
* Supportive, collaborative team culture aligned to ATCO’s core values
Your Future with ATCO Structures & Logistics
Based at our Head Office in Luscombe, this role sits within our Design & Estimating team and plays a key role in supporting project outcomes from the earliest stages. Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Permanent Modular Construction (PMC), Rentals and Major Projects, you’ll contribute to developing accurate, buildable designs while gaining hands-on exposure to cost planning and estimating. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to build both technical design capability and commercial understanding within a dynamic construction environment.
What You Will Do
* Prepare and develop Revit models and construction drawings, supporting projects from early concept through to delivery
* Assist with architectural and technical detailing, including layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and schedules
* Review and interpret drawings to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and aligned with modular construction principles
* Coordinate and update BIM (Revit) models in line with design changes and project requirements
* Support design documentation reviews, identifying drawing inconsistencies and coordination issues
* Develop a working understanding of estimating and cost planning, learning how design decisions directly impact pricing and buildability
* Actively participate in the estimating process, including take‑offs, scope review, and pricing support using Databuild (or similar) as skills develop
* Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain technical and pricing inputs, building commercial awareness over time
* Collaborate closely with design, estimating, manufacturing, and delivery teams, contributing to integrated project outcomes
* Support continuous improvement of design and estimating standards, templates, and workflows
What You Will Bring
* Recent TAFE qualification in Design, Drafting or Revit (or similar)
* Basic understanding of construction drawings and building concepts
* Exposure to Revit or similar BIM software
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Interest in developing a career in estimating and pre-construction
We welcome applications from candidates who may not meet every requirement but bring the right mindset, capability and desire to grow within a design‑led estimating environment.
