Gardener

As a Gardener at Bellevue Gardens, you'll play an important role in creating welcoming outdoor spaces where residents can connect, relax and enjoy village life.

We're seeking a dedicated Gardener to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, bringing their passion for outdoor work and commitment to maintaining high presentation standards across the village.

The role

Working full-time, you'll help maintain the gardens, lawns and communal outdoor spaces throughout the village, ensuring they remain safe, attractive and enjoyable for residents and visitors alike.

What you'll be doing

• Maintain gardens, lawns, pathways and communal outdoor areas
• Mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, planting and watering
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools
• Support village presentation through proactive grounds maintenance
• Respond to resident requests and assist with ad-hoc gardening tasks
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming and well-presented community environment

What you'll bring

• Previous experience in gardening, groundskeeping or landscape maintenance
• Knowledge of horticultural practices and plant care
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• A friendly, resident-focused approach and strong communication skills
• Physical capability to undertake manual outdoor work
• Pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining beautiful surroundings
• Experience within retirement living, schools, commercial grounds or residential communities will be highly regarded.
