About your AAA-Team
Our South Perth team values collaboration and fun! You will work with a dynamic group including OTs, Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, and Behaviour Support Practitioners. We enjoy gathering at our Jandakot community hub and local cafes to support participants, support each other, and socialize. Our Regional Manager, Hannah Dawson, a Physio herself, understands your experience and is passionate about supporting the team. She often brings her dog Rosie to the office, adding a friendly touch!
Job Description
You will support vulnerable community members by acting as an advocate and role model. Your daily responsibilities will include:
1. Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans
2. Creating meaningful goals and practical strategies within a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminating restrictive practices
3. Building the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those supporting participants—families, carers, friends, etc.
4. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* A degree-level qualification as an allied health professional (e.g., OT, Speech, Social Work) is preferred
* Experience creating, implementing, and reviewing behaviour support plans
* Core, Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist status as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner
