About the role
Pulse Cardiac Care is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our team in Pimlico, QLD. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the overall operations of our medical practice. This is a part-time casual position intended to help run cardiology specialist clinics on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
* Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling inquiries
* Coordinate patient bookings and appointments.
* Updating and maintaining the database of patients' and doctors' information, ensuring confidentiality.
* Provide support and assistance for patients by checking vital parameters (HR, BPI), including ECG's.
* Correcting/editing medical letters/reports before dispatching them to their intended destinations.
* Booking, coordinating and organising procedures in liaison with the Mater Hospital Cath Lab staff.
* General office maintenance and housekeeping.
* Assisting with other tasks as required to support the medical practice
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage various responsibilities
* Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures
* Proficiency in using standard office software, such as Microsoft Office and patient management systems
* A warm, friendly, and professional demeanour to provide an exceptional patient experience
