BN PANDIT PTY LTD T/A NT DELIVERY & TRANSPORT SERVICES The Truck Driver is responsible for operating heavy motor vehicles to transport goods over local and long-distance routes in compliance with road transport laws, safety standards, and company procedures. The role requires safe driving practices, correct loading and securing of goods, accurate documentation, and adherence to fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility obligations.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Driving heavy vehicles to transport goods to and from specified locations.
* Determining the most appropriate delivery routes and scheduling trips.
* Conducting pre-operational, in-route, and post-operational vehicle inspections.
* Loading and unloading goods, ensuring loads are correctly positioned and securely restrained.
* Ensuring compliance with load restraint, weight limits, and safety regulations.
* Maintaining accurate driving records, including logbooks, mileage, delivery times, and fuel usage.
* Completing and verifying transport documentation such as consignment notes and delivery dockets.
* Reporting vehicle faults, damage, or maintenance requirements promptly.
* Complying with fatigue management laws and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
* Securing vehicles when unattended and ensuring goods are protected from damage or theft.
* Maintain the company's values by ensuring that interactions with clients are respectful and compassionate.
* Adhere to all company policies, health and safety regulations and infection control protocols, especially when transporting sterile or sensitive medical supplies.
* Participating in required training to maintain compliance, licensing, and safety standards.
* Providing courteous and professional customer service during deliveries, ensuring client satisfaction.
* Handle all client-related documents and information with strict confidentiality and discretion.
Qualifications & Requirements
* AQF Certificate II, III or equivalent qualification is required.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant truck driving experience.
* Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence (MR, HR / HC / MC as applicable).
* Demonstrated knowledge of road transport laws and safety regulations.
* Fatigue Management knowledge and/or certification.
* Ability to complete written and electronic transport records accurately.
* Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
* Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules.
* Physically capable of loading, unloading, and securing freight.
