About the role
We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Retail Liquor Store Assistant to join our team at Manjimup Liquor World T/A Bottlemart Manjimup in Manjimup, WA. This is a casual role initially, offering flexibility to fit around your other commitments. We will also consider applicants for management positions with a fair salary package as remuneration.
What you'll be doing
1. Providing outstanding customer service and assisting customers with their purchasing decisions
2. Manual Handling of Inventory, including stocking and maintaining product displays to ensure the store is well-presented, clean and dust free.
3. Handling cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
4. Adhering to all relevant liquor licensing laws and regulations
5. Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting your colleagues as needed
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, ideally within the liquor industry
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner
3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
4. A team player who is willing to pitch in and support your colleagues
5. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
6. Wine knowledge is extremely desirable for this role
7. Experience with IT based inventory management systems & customer service databases desirable
8. Liquor Licensing accreditations and Police Clearance are necessary for the role.
