The Opportunity As Senior Marketing Manager (Parental Leave Cover), you will play a pivotal role in leading the marketing function and delivering high-impact, growth-oriented campaigns. With support from the Director, Marketing and Communications, Australia, you will guide and inspire a team of Senior Marketing Advisors (via dotted line), ensuring continuity, innovation, and momentum across all marketing initiatives. You will work closely across the team, both locally and globally, to deliver integrated campaigns and marketing activities that elevate our brand and drive business outcomes. This role will require adaptability as the team navigates some organisational changes throughout the year. About The Role Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to) Senior Stakeholder Management & Influence: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with executive leadership, business unit heads, and other senior stakeholders. Act as a strategic advisor, influencing decision-making and ensuring marketing strategies are tightly aligned with business priorities. Confidently represent marketing at the highest levels, advocating for the function and securing buy-in for key initiatives. Proactively engage with senior leaders to understand their objectives, translate complex business needs into actionable marketing plans, and provide regular, insightful updates on campaign performance and market opportunities. Campaign Strategy & Execution: Execute integrated marketing campaigns that support strategic growth initiatives across the business. Tailor global campaigns to specific sectors, services, and client needs, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. Dotted Line Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Senior Marketing Advisors (dotted line), fostering a collaborative, creative, and accountable culture. Empower the team to deliver on strategic initiatives and support their professional growth, even without direct line management responsibility. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with the Senior Communications Manager and Senior Internal Communications Manager to ensure campaigns and communications are aligned, integrated, and support both internal and external engagement goals. Partner with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership and sector specialists, to align marketing strategies with business goals. Change Navigation: Support the team in adapting to organisational changes, providing stability, clear direction, and a positive outlook as new opportunities and challenges arise. Market Positioning & Expansion: Target key growth markets. Leverage market insights to create relevant, engaging campaigns that expand reach and deepen engagement with clients and prospects. Campaign Performance & Optimisation: Track and measure campaign success, using data and insights to continuously optimise strategies. Provide regular reports to senior stakeholders on performance and ROI. Brand Stewardship: Ensure global brand and marketing strategies are relevant, impactful, and aligned with business growth objectives. Connect the company’s vision with the realities of the local market. Market Insights, Data and Trends: Understand and leverage market and global insights, trends, data, news and themes that form the backbone of our brand and marketing activities Champion WSP’s Guiding Principles: Ensure a safe working environment is always maintained. About You Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Organisational Knowledge 10 years’ experience in B2B marketing, ideally within professional services, engineering, architecture, consulting, or similar sectors. Demonstrated expertise in senior stakeholder management, with a proven ability to influence, negotiate, and drive alignment at the executive level. Proven experience in campaign marketing, brand positioning, and strategic marketing within global and matrix organisations. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of driving positive, collaborative, and accountable team cultures (including dotted line or matrixed leadership). Experience working with senior stakeholders and translating complex business objectives into compelling marketing campaigns. Demonstrated ability to drive strategic growth through targeted marketing initiatives. Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
