Description
The Coordinator Roads and Drainage plays a key leadership role within the Maintenance Operations branch, overseeing the performance and delivery of the Roads and Drainage teams. The role contributes to the planning, design coordination, programming, and delivery of operational, renewal, and capital works. Applying sound asset management principles, the coordinator prioritises and executes road and drainage programs to ensure civil infrastructure assets are effectively maintained, renewed, and enhanced in accordance with asset management plans, service levels, budgets and long‐term planning objectives. All works are delivered safely, efficiently and with high standards of service delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
* Oversee and coordinate the Roads and Drainage teams, ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of roads and drainage services in accordance with City policies and procedures.
* Contribute to the planning, design coordination, programming and delivery of operational, renewal and capital works for roads and drainage infrastructure, in line with approved budgets, programs and governance frameworks.
* Apply asset management principles to support the prioritisation and delivery of the City's roads and drainage programs, ensuring infrastructure assets are maintained, renewed and improved in accordance with adopted asset management plans, service levels and long‐term planning objectives.
Position Requirements
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in the maintenance, renewal, and construction of roads and stormwater infrastructure, supported by a relevant qualification or equivalent industry experience. They must demonstrate capability to lead and manage diverse teams, foster a positive team culture and build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong organisational and planning skills, along with an understanding of asset management principles and safe work practices, are critical for effectively delivering infrastructure programs in line with operational and strategic objectives. Completion of a pre‐employment medical, including alcohol and substances testing, is required for all positions at the City.
Remuneration and Benefits
A salary ranging from $126,622 per annum to $135,470 per annum will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
