What's the role?
Step into a pivotal role as a Senior Business Analyst within Westpac's Finance Transformation team, based in Sydney. You'll be at the heart of the SRDE Migration Program – a critical initiative modernising the systems that underpin credit risk, capital management and regulatory reporting. This ensures Westpac meets its regulatory obligations while driving sustainable, future-ready outcomes.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be the bridge between business needs and technology delivery.
Your mission?
* Lead the analysis and design of business requirements, ensuring alignment with governance and program objectives
* Drive process improvement by identifying opportunities and remediating control gaps in line with Group standards
* Shape the future-state through creating user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, and support with testing and implementation
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships by facilitating workshops and requirement gathering sessions to ensure clarity and alignment
* Champion best practice methodologies and proactively manage risks throughout the delivery lifecycle
What will you Bring?
* Proven expertise in business process improvement, data analysis and business case development
* A track record of leading end-to-end process re-engineering or transformation initiatives
* Strong capability in requirement analysis, documentation and project management
* Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving and influencing skills across various groups of stakeholders
* A strong risk mindset that proactively identifies and responds to gaps in processes or controls
* Knowledge of financial services, credit risk, and regulatory reporting (highly regarded).
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience; business or technology background (desirable).
