You will be responsible for working under the direction of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality clinical services to clients in Residential Aged Care (RAC) settings. As an Allied Health Assistant, your duties will include both clinical and administrative tasks.Our innovative Plena Care Pathway, which won the 2023 Allied Health Award for Innovative Product Excellence, allows therapists to tailor programs based on resident goals and priorities. These programs include evidence-based mobility and functional activities, care plan reviews, one-on-one therapy, and group active aging services.This casual position (16 hours/week) is based in Gympie, QLD.Responsibilities include:Assisting in delivering physiotherapy services according to Plena Healthcare policies and procedures.Servicing RAC clients as per treatment plans created by allied health professionals.Transporting residents to and from therapy sessions or appointments under supervision.Setting up and cleaning the physiotherapy gym and equipment.Handling referrals and performing administrative duties as guided.Ordering prescribed equipment.Running exercise groups and programs.Supporting initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.Consulting with physiotherapists or occupational therapists on treatment plan adaptations and progressions.Participating in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals as per company policy.Career Benefits with Plena Healthcare:We promote a healthy work/life balance with flexible hours and a supportive environment.
