* Based at our Tom Fitzgerald Residential Aged Care Home in Shepparton (VIC)
Your new role:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled Endorsed Nurse to join our residential team at our Tom Fitzgerald Residential Aged Care on a Part Time Basis. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care. Your fortnightly roster will be as below:
Week 1: Saturday & Sunday
Week 2: Saturday & Sunday
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
* Assist residents with personal care, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living
* Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
* Assist in formal assessment processes and contribute to individual plans of care
* Liaising with medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents
* Provide complex care, such as wound management and palliative care
* Assisting the RN1 with clinical requirements of residents
* Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
* Observing and reporting changes in residents' behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required
* Attend appointments with residents as required
* Providing emotional support to residents.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
* Ability to work both in team and autonomously
* Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
* Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
* Keen eye for detail
* Excellent communication skills
* The ability to enhance or maintain our residents' independence and lifestyle
* A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
