About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to support our financial operations. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, working under the guidance of experienced finance professionals.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting financial operations: Assist with managing shared email accounts, directing queries, and supporting financial document workflows.
* Banking support: Upload and review transactions and assist with reconciliations of bank accounts and corporate cards.
* Accounts Payable: Help process payments, check invoices, manage creditor records, and ensure timely and accurate payments.
* Financial reporting: Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.
* Corporate card & cash management: Support cardholder administration, documentation gathering, and reconciliation of transactions.
* Compliance assistance: Help maintain proper financial records and support preparation for audits and regulatory requirements.
* Asset and expense tracking: Help monitor asset registers, review expenses, and support accurate cost allocation across business units.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A recent qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or nearing completion).
* Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* A proactive, team-oriented attitude.
