What you can expect in a day in this role:
As a Night Manager, your main responsibility will be overseeing overnight operations and audit processes, while also providing administrative support to the daily operations team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the hotel runs smoothly during overnight hours and upholding high standards of service. Including but not limited to:
* Complete routine records and reports relating to trading and revenue
* Accurately roll the 'end of day' process & handle cash/daily balance
* General reception duties including the check-in and check-out of guests, reservations, guest services and phone enquiries
* Monitor the accuracy of financial transactions and records, ensure compliance with business procedures, and identify and resolve discrepancies or escape to management as appropriate.
* Monitor daily upgrades and VIP services requirements
What you will bring to the role:
With the ability to work autonomously and strong initiative, we are looking for:
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
* Experience with hotel reservations software RMS preferred but not essential
* Previous experience in a front office role or customer service is preferred
* Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
* A flexible approach to working hours over a 7-day roster, including weekends, public holidays and evening shifts
