As the Works Assistant in the Infrastructure Signals team, you will support in the delivery of maintenance and renewals, assist with reactive maintenance needs, system alterations/upgrades and new works.

This is a permanent night shift position working 2000 - 0600 on rotating shifts on a 4 days on/3 days off roster based at Caulfield and working across the South East Metro Network.

• Assist with installing, repairing, and modifying infrastructure assets.
• Perform manual labour using hand and mechanical tools for maintenance and upgrades.
• Operate vehicles, equipment, and assist with larger machinery as needed.
• Support safety procedures, inspections, and update systems with asset condition data.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas, while managing hazards and following safety regulations.

• Experience working in a similar rail labouring position
• 3.1 TFPC qualification preferred
• Current and Valid Victorian Drivers Licence
• Experience using an iPad to monitor and update work schedules
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Sound knowledge of safety and safe working requirements
