As our Senior Electronics Engineer, you will be immersed in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment, utilising your expertise in electronic system design, embedded firmware, signal processing, and quality assurance.
This role will see you spearheading our in-house electronic engineering projects while collaborating with external partners. Your innovative thinking, effective communication, and leadership skills will significantly contribute to our mission of delivering superior health outcomes during labor. We're looking for an individual with 5-10+ years’ of experience! If you have experience with analog design, RF/BLE Design, ISO standards, and a firm grasp of the medical device development lifecycle, you're exactly who we're looking for.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Electronic System Design and Circuit Design: Develop and implement innovative electronic system designs and circuit designs based on specific requirements. Apply expertise in both analog and digital electronics for mixed-signal design.
2. Firmware Development and Programming: Play a critical role in developing embedded systems and associated firmware. Required programming in C, Matlab, Python, and C++.
3. Medical Device Development: Lead the application of electronic engineering principles in the development of our biosensor devices, with an understanding of medical device development life cycle processes.
4. Quality Assurance and Standards Compliance: Ensure the electronics engineering outputs comply with relevant industry standards including ISO13485, ISO 14971, IEC60601, IEC 62366, IEC 62304. Previous experience in quality assurance in these areas is highly desirable.
5. Signal Processing: Utilise knowledge in signal processing for the successful development and optimization of our biosensor devices.
6. Team Leadership: Manage in-house electronics engineering team, promoting a collaborative, multidisciplinary work environment. Oversee performance management to ensure delivery of high-quality outcomes.
7. Project Management: Coordinate with multiple disciplines across the company, and manage projects with external partners. Responsible for delivering projects on time and on budget.
8. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the electronic team to troubleshoot existing design issues and issues within house data acquisition systems.
9. Use of ECAD Software: Utilize strong working knowledge of Altium Designer or other related ECAD software for electronic design.
10. Communication: Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
11. Decision Making: Comfortable with making quick and informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Skills And Experience
* Concept to full cycle electronic product development experience.
* Low power and battery power electronic design experience.
* Proficient in Analog design especially in opamp design, characterization, and low current measurement.
* Digital design with ADC and DAC experience.
* Working with Electronic simulation tools and design debugging.
* Proficient in Altium Design: Schematic Capture, PCB Design, Gerber release design for mass manufacturing.
* BOM Management and part management.
* Mechanical engineering experience in electronic housing design and fixture design.
* Test jig development, and quick PCB modification for quick design changes.
* Proficient in electronic product manufacturing, DFM and DFT, manufacturing test development, and working with electronic manufacturers from design aspects.
* Standard and Compliance design and testing experience, preferably medical products.
* Know how to read standards, for example, IEC60601.
* Knowledge of ECG, Electrochemistry, and biosensor would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of Quality management and six sigma.
* Excellent soldering and rework skills.
* RF design and testing experience especially Bluetooth/BLE.
* Embedded C language development knowledge.
* Python or similar software knowledge.
