About the role:
Cater Care is seeking a Catering Assistant to support meal service at an aged care facility in Horsham, VIC. In this role, you'll contribute to a positive dining experience by providing friendly service and helping create a welcoming environment for residents.
Pay:
$25.85 hourly base rate + super and penalties
Roster:
Wednesday to Saturday, 2:00pm - 8:00pm
What This Role Involves
* Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
* Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
* Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
* Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
* Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
Desired Skills And Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
* Previous contract catering experience (desirable)
* Work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to busy and changing environments
