Cairns Urgent Care Clinic | Edmonton
Cairns Urgent Care Clinic, located in the suburb of Edmonton, provides acute care and treatment for conditions that are not life-threatening but require urgent medical attention.
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a permanent full-time position. Please note: casual shifts are not available.
Pay rate: $45–$50 per hour + applicable weekend rates
Clinic Hours
* Weekdays: 8:00am – 10:00pm
* Weekends: 9:00am – 6:00pm
* Open 7 days a week
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and triaging suitable patients and delivering high-quality front-line care while working closely alongside General Practitioners in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments to efficiently triage patients
* Delivering high-quality patient care and responding decisively to patients requiring urgent or emergency attention
* Monitoring and responding to patient deterioration
* Providing health education and advice to patients as required
* Completing all clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A clinical background in General Practice and/or Triage
* A compassionate, empathetic, and professional approach to patient care
* Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
* Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends
* Current ALS/CPR certification
* Current AHPRA registration
