We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Senior HSE Advisor who values collaboration and is committed to fostering a safe and supportive site environment.
While local candidates are preferred, we are also open to considering applicants from Brisbane or Melbourne who are interested in FIFO opportunities.
You will provide expert HSE advice and support to project teams, collaborate with the Project Manager to enhance HSE systems and performance, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and contribute to the development and delivery of HSE training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist HSE advice and monitor compliance.
* Assist and advise the Project Manager in developing, reviewing, and implementing the Project HSE Management Plan, risk registers, and operational HSE procedures and programs.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable legal and HSE requirements relevant to the project scope.
* Ensure relevant system documentation is current, accessible, applicable, and being utilised effectively.
* Research, develop, and implement HSE programs tailored to address project-specific issues.
* Develop, coordinate, and deliver both generic and project-specific HSE inductions and training for Sedgman and subcontractor personnel.
* Oversee event reporting and manage injury cases.
* Lead and support audits to verify compliance with Sedgman's HSEQ management system.
* Maintain, manage, and provide technical support for electronic HSEQ data management systems.
Who Are You?
* Relevant degree, trade-based qualification, or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the resources sector (engineering or related services).
* Strong knowledge of national and international HSE legislation.
* Experience developing and implementing HSE management systems to local and global standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organisational levels.
