As we continue to transform and grow, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to lead our reactive maintenance team.
This critical role plays a key part in ensuring the safety, functionality, and well-being of our built assets.
The Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating urgent and reactive maintenance requests, triaging, prioritizing, and overseeing completion in line with service levels and statutory obligations.
Working closely with peers across supporting services, you will ensure high-quality service delivery that balances responsiveness, compliance, efficiency, and community impact.
* Leading and supporting a team conducting minor maintenance activities, and managing on-site reactive maintenance
* Triage, prioritisation and assignment of maintenance tasks
* Engaging with internal staff and facility users, and external contractors to scope, schedule and monitor works
* Conducting in-field audits and ensuring quality, compliance to regulatory statutory requirements, and safety standards
* Collaborating with peers creating financial efficiencies and continually uplifting performance data tracking
* Communicating with facility users and stakeholders to minimise disruptions and resolve escalations
* Ensuring maintenance records and documentation are complete and audit-ready
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Certificate-level qualification in building services, facility management, or a relevant trade/technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
* Demonstrated experience undertaking and coordinating field-based maintenance services and supervising contractors or staff
* Sound understanding of building systems, statutory and regulatory compliance requirements, WHS obligations and maintenance standards and practices
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience managing operational challenges and service delays professionally
* Proficiency in Technology One or similar work order systems
* A current Victorian Driver's Licence, Construction Induction (White) Card, and Working with Children Check (required)
This is a full-time permanent position. You can expect:
* Frequent travel across the municipality
* Participation in a four-week rotational afterhours standby service
* A minimum of 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
