Join our Digital Projects & Transformation team that leads the design and delivery of user-focused enhancements to the NSW Planning Portal – the State's central digital platform for planning and development services.
What you'll do
Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, gather requirements, and develop Statements of Work that reflect desired outcomes and benefits.
Lead and facilitate workshops with councils, industry users and internal teams to define functional requirements, specifications, and user stories that improve the customer experience.
Analyse and document business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly communicated, prioritised, and delivered in alignment with project objectives and legislative frameworks.
Support the preparation of Statements of Work, work estimates, feasibility and business cases that underpin digital delivery and future Planning Portal initiatives.
Provide expert advice and analysis to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement in digital delivery.
What you will bring to the role
Demonstrated experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process modelling, and solution design in a digital or technology-focused environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced setting.
Advanced facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of business analysis frameworks, tools, and methodologies, and familiarity with project collaboration tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
Commitment to ethical behaviour, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with public sector values.
A collaborative approach that supports teamwork, innovation, and inclusive practice across the organisation.
Essential Requirements
Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant professional experience.
