The Opportunity Here's a chance to take the reins of a flagship site producing Martini and Woven Image high-quality products for more than three decades. We're looking for a Manufacturing Manager who can run a busy operation and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and product delivery while keeping the fundamentals of the plant running smoothly. This role leads the day-to-day manufacturing operations at CSR's Villawood site, which operates three world-class production lines supplying domestic and export customers. We're deep into our World Class Manufacturing (WCM) journey under Saint-Gobain, and we want someone who can champion that progress while keeping production efficient, culture strong, and accountability clear. As a key leadership role, you will have several direct reports and will oversee the broader manufacturing team. This site-based role carries full ownership of safety, quality, output, compliance, and cost, while collaborating closely with Maintenance, Warehouse, WHSE & Innovation teams. Key responsibilities Create and maintain a Zero Harm culture by driving “Never Walk Past” behaviours and consistent safety leadership. Lift performance across safety, environment, quality, supply, and cost. Lead WCM and Lean practices on site, embedding continuous improvement in everyday operations. Build a high-performing team built on clear expectations, accountability and constructive leadership. Run the site with rigour: production planning, capacity, standards, cost control and compliance (including COR). Partner closely with Maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and ensure planned work aligns with production priorities. Own budget management, cost control, waste minimisation and capital project oversight. Ensure accurate production reporting in SAP and maintain strong operational discipline. About You You set clear expectations, communicate openly at all levels, deliver tangible continuous improvement, balance proven practices with innovation and WCM progress, and remain steady under pressure to keep the site performing. We're looking for someone with: Experience leading manufacturing operations in a high-performing, safety-focused environment Strong working knowledge of Lean, 5S and operational excellence tools (WCM exposure a big advantage) Effective leadership — clear, accountable, and people-oriented, driving performance while supporting team development. Commercial acumen and comfort managing budgets, cost centres and capex A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving Experience working alongside maintenance teams on preventative and predictive practices Engineering qualifications or a relevant diploma ideal SAP experience (nice to have) Understanding of COR or logistics requirements advantageous What's in it for you We strive to support your professional and personal growth.
