Cosmetic Dentist – Key Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Excellence
* Deliver high-quality cosmetic and restorative dental treatments including veneers, crowns, bridges, whitening, Invisalign/clear aligners, smile makeovers, and full-mouth rehabilitation
* Perform comprehensive cosmetic consultations, diagnostics, and treatment planning with a strong aesthetic and functional focus
* Utilise digital smile design, photography, and advanced dental technology to achieve predictable, high-end outcomes
* Ensure all clinical work meets or exceeds best-practice standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements
Patient Experience
* Provide an exceptional, patient-first experience aligned with a luxury, concierge-style service model
* Clearly communicate treatment options, timelines, risks, and benefits in a confident yet empathetic manner
* Build long-term patient relationships through trust, transparency, and personalised care
* Collaborate closely with Treatment Coordinators to support high conversion and informed consent
Collaboration & Teamwork
* Work collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, lab technicians, and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless care
* Liaise with in-house or external dental laboratories to achieve optimal aesthetic and functional outcomes
* Support and mentor junior clinicians or oral health therapists where required
Clinical Documentation & Compliance
* Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records, treatment notes, consents, and photographic documentation
* Ensure compliance with all relevant dental board, AHPRA, and practice policies and procedures
* Uphold ethical treatment planning and transparent fee discussions
Professional Development
* Stay up to date with advances in cosmetic dentistry, materials, techniques, and digital workflows
* Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and practice-led education initiatives
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical systems, protocols, and patient outcomes
Brand & Practice Representation
* Represent the practice's brand, values, and standard of care at all times
* Support the growth of the cosmetic arm of the practice through clinical excellence and patient advocacy
* Contribute to a positive, high-performance team culture focused on excellence and integrity
