Clinicians working in sexual health at the Townsville Hospital and Health Service are responsible for delivering culturally appropriate care to patients presenting with sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV, viral hepatitis, transgender and reproductive health issues, including the provision of medical terminations of pregnancy.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing clinical care to patients presenting with STIs, HIV, viral hepatitis, and other sexual health related conditions.
* Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
* Participating in education and training activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
* Supervising junior staff and contributing to the development of junior clinicians.

In order to be successful in this role, you will require:

* Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration with the relevant authority.
* The ability to deliver culturally appropriate care in a specialist environment.
* Experience in infectious diseases, sexual counselling, health education, epidemiology, and computer literacy are desirable.
* The ability to provide leadership and assist in training staff and students.

This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. A probation period may apply and pre-employment checks will be conducted. We offer flexible work arrangements, stable job security, and a family-friendly environment. Salary range: $4966.90 to $6980.10 p.a. (L4-L9, L10-L13). 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading. 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Total Remuneration Only used for Senior Medical or Executive positions
