The Tree Contractors Association of Australia (TCAA) is seeking a reliable and organised Administration Officer to assist with the day-to-day administrative operations of the Association.
This role is approximately one day per week, with additional hours required during busy periods such as annual membership renewals and AGM preparation. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and respond to emails or forward correspondence as required
* Process and pay invoices using the Saasu accounting system
* Prepare and issue annual membership invoices
* Prepare and issue membership certificates as payments are received
* Conduct bank reconciliations
* Manage new memberships and discontinuations
* Maintain communication with TCAA members
* Send reminders for monthly committee meetings
* File and maintain meeting minutes and AGM documentation
* Maintain Saasu and Zoom subscriptions
* Liaise with external service providers, including web designers, printers and contractors
* Assist the President and Committee with administrative support as required
Key Skills Required
o Strong organisational and time management skills
o Professional written and verbal communication abilities
o Ability to work independently and manage priorities efficiently
o Basic bookkeeping and accounts administration experience
o Competency with accounting software such as Saasu, Xero, or MYOB
o Attention to detail and accuracy in financial and membership administration
o Good computer literacy, including email and document management
o Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
o Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with members, committee representatives, and external service providers
o Reliability and consistency in maintaining administrative processes and deadlines
o Ability to prepare and maintain meeting minutes, membership records, and AGM documentation
o Flexible and adaptable approach to varying workloads throughout the year
Position Requirements
o Demonstrated experience in administrative and accounting processes
o Must have an ABN and own a computer
o The successful applicant will be required to be added as an authorised user for banking
o Only candidates with full working rights will be considered
Additional Information
The role is expected to commence in June to allow training in preparation for the annual membership invoicing process completed on 1 July each year. Full training and ongoing assistance will be provided during the transition period.
