This role will also serve as the lead of our Melbourne office, overseeing a team of seven people across two businesses.

The ideal candidate has a strong background and proven experience in the influencer marketing and/or broader marketing industry, specifically working in a high-paced agency environment.
You have led teams and driven high-performance teams to challenge themselves and push beyond the status quo.
About the Role
As Agency Director you'll be the driving force behind Ivy Talent Co, leading strategic expansion – onboarding new, aligned talent, championing existing talent beyond social and digital, and forging meaningful partnerships with media, brands and platforms.
This role sits on the senior leadership team, reporting directly to our Managing Director and working closely with our Head of Talent to power growth across the business – commercially, creatively and culturally.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Commercial Leadership
Work closely with Ivy Talent Founder to drive the agency's growth strategy
Develop and deliver Ivy Talent Co's talent acquisition and expansion strategy
Lead strategic brand/talent partnerships that elevate our talent beyond social platforms
Oversee and grow financial performance across the agency.
Industry Relationships and Representation
Represent Ivy Talent Co at events, speaking opportunities, talent lunches, and industry meetings
Build and nurture relationships with agencies, platforms, producers, publishers and media.
Talent Management and Growth
Own the onboarding process for select talent
Lead retention strategies for top-tier talent
Uncover new opportunities for talent to grow their brand and build relationships in these industries
Identify and nurture new voices that align with Ivy Talent Co's roster.
Team Leadership and Culture
Lead the Melbourne operations of Ivy Talent Co and Free Folk Agency, representing the SLT on-ground
Act as the consistent voice of leadership and mentorship for the team
Build a high-performance, positive environment that thrives on collaboration
Be a values-driven leader who sets the tone and lifts others as you climb.
New Business
Autonomously lead new business opportunities and pitch meetings
Develop future-forward, tailored growth strategies for existing and prospective talent
Stay one step ahead of the industry – always.
Required Skills and Experience
7+ years in a senior growth, partnerships, marketing, media, or talent-facing role
Deep understanding of the influencer, publishing and social and traditional media landscapes across AU/NZ
Strong commercial acumen and understanding the economics of this industry
Experience working with talent and advocating for them
Proven leadership experience, with a people-first mindset
A willingness to network regularly – you know the right rooms to be in and aren't afraid to enter them
Strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments and gets things done.
