We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the Wollongong Branch. As a Trade Assistant, you will work with our core service team, assisting trade-qualified technicians in maintenance, service, repair, and assembly of conveyor components and systems.
Responsibilities:
* Assist with mapping and marking out splices
* Participate in shutdowns with planned belt changes
* Assist with Belt Splicing and Installations of conveyor belts – fabric, ply, solid woven, or steel – cord
* Ensure good housekeeping practices on site and in the workshop
* Participate in JSA's; safety observations or toolbox discussions

Requirements:
* Must have a strong safety focus
* Hold a current drivers licence
* Previous experience in a Trade Assistant position ideally in a related industry sector, i.e. manufacturing or mining;
* Possess good mechanical aptitude, as well as sound communication and numerical skills
* Ability to work on-call and overtime
