Job Description

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with senior leaders to provide timely and accurate advice and support across a broad range of HR functions.

About the Role

* Partner with key stakeholders to deliver a positive and professional employee experience by providing effective HR advice.

* Oversee site wages payroll and HR administrators to ensure accurate and timely processing of the fortnightly payrun.

* Build relationships with both operational and support teams and act as a true business partner to support the delivery of people initiatives that aligns to the HVO strategy.

* Mentor Leaders on best practice, compliant and supportive approaches to managing their workforce for high performance and strong engagement.

* Lead HR projects with exceptional attention to detail and stakeholder engagement.

* Support organisational effectiveness solutions and initiatives that will contribute to building a high-performance culture.

* Provide accurate and timely people management advice to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.

* Coach and upskill leaders in performance management, disciplinary procedures, and grievance resolution.

* Provide leadership and coaching to your direct report.

Roster and Location

* Monday to Friday dayshift roster

* Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

About You

* Proven experience in a HR role with a comprehensive knowledge of HR related functions including leadership development, culture, performance management and recruitment.

* Working knowledge of state and federal employment legislation.

* Ability to thrive in a continuous improvement culture with resilience around change.

* A strong commitment to delivering high quality HR outcomes in an accurate and timely manner.

* Excellent interpersonal influencing, coaching and communication skills.

* Ability to prioritise tasks.

* Demonstrated experience using Workday/SAP or other HRIS system experience.

* Relevant degree/ qualification in HR or other relevant qualification or related experience

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) produces some of the world’s highest quality thermal and semi-soft metallurgical coal for export. Our operation comprising of HVO North and HVO South – are in Lemington near the NSW Upper Hunter town of Singleton.

We move in excess of 120 million bank cubic metres (MBCM) of material per annum with a fleet that includes two draglines and three rope shovels, supported by a fleet of excavators and haul trucks.

Our operation contains two Coal Handling Preparation Plants (CHPPs) and two train loadout facilities and produces a combined 14 million tonnes (Mt) of annual output of thermal and semi-soft coal.
