The Senior Finance Business Partner collaborates closely with managers and senior leaders, leveraging their strong professional relationships to deliver high-quality financial analysis and strategic advice to enhance organisational performance. The Senior Finance Business Partner ensures alignment of financial practices with organisational priorities, facilitates efficient resource utilisation, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve financial outcomes and organisational effectiveness. The Senior Finance Business Partner also serves as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, supporting it in navigating complex financial challenges and achieving strategic goals while maintaining compliance with legislation, policies and accounting standards. The Senior Finance Business Partner is accountable for the following measurable outcomes: * Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts for a senior audience * High-level variance analysis, strategic commentary and data-driven insights * Collaborating on the annual budgeting process * Building and maintaining internal stakeholder relationships to resolve financial discrepancies * Assisting with submissions to the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR), Creative Victoria (CV), the Finance Committee, and Board. * Supporting financial forecasting and modelling * Mentoring other team members to enhance professional growth and team capability * Collaborating with cross-functional teams on key projects About You The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis, and has an ability to engage and communicate with a range of stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and external parties. In addition, you will bring: * A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline * Full membership of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA) and/or Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) * Extensive experience working in a management accounting, budgeting, or business partnering role * Demonstrated experience in conducting financial analysis, including providing briefs on findings, with actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders * Demonstrated experience working in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central * A solid track record of enhancing financial analysis through utilising functions and features in Microsoft Excel About the Library State Library Victoria is Australia's oldest public library, and one of the first free public libraries in the world.
