About the Role
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the Secondary School staff. This is a flexible, part-time role that requires availability from Monday to Friday hours per week; 4 hours per day). Hours are generally limited to term weeks only (40 weeks per year).
This is a permanent position, and will commence Term 1, 27th January 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting the Science staff as required.
* Preparation and setting up experiments for teaching staff.
* Ongoing care and maintenance of secondary science lab and equipment.
Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
* Experience as a Laboratory Technician, ideally in a school Science laboratory.
* A Certificate IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques (or relevant tertiary qualifications).
* Students currently undertaking study in a relevant area are encouraged to apply.
* Current knowledge of OHS regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
* Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students.
* Exemplary organisational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work with changing priorities.
* Proficient in the use of technology including booking and learning management systems.
* Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and independently, as required.
