About Construction Control Construction Control is a Canberra-based construction and project management firm, delivering high-quality outcomes across design, delivery, and refurbishment projects. Founded locally in 1988, Construction Control have grown to over 130 FTE+, spread across Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra, with most of the staff locally based. With several major projects secured and pipelined, the business is poised for future growth, with a projected 150 FTE by the end of 2025.


The Opportunity


Construction Control have an enviable reputation in the Canberra market, with several high-profile projects having been delivered, including Brindabella Business Park, Canberra Airport Terminal and Constitution Place. Due to strong business performance, there is an opportunity to join the growing CC Admin team in their newly furbished, modern and centrally located offices in Braddon. You will report directly to their Administration Manager and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and high performing team. Whilst your primary focus would be to provide admin and HR support to the broader business, you will also provide some admin support to four long standing Directors.


The Role


Working in a small team of three, your role will be varied, busy and no day will be the same. As the administration officer you will:

* Coordinate all onboarding and offboarding for new starters including arranging IT equipment, managing SIM activations and completing telecommunications paperwork
* Track and manage staff certifications, work experience and placement paperwork
* Manage a busy shared inbox
* Be the first point of contact for all inbound calls – including supporting internal staff with troubleshooting and problem solving
* Booking and organising travel for Directors
* Managing room bookings and general office admin support
* HR admin functions including; ordering uniforms, arranging medical bookings, managing workers compensation cases, issuing employment letters, and coordinating training enrolments and certifications
* Assisting with tender submissions, drafting marketing material etc.
* Coordinate and organise company events (Christmas parties etc.), flu shots for staff etc.
* Maintaining and prioritising task lists for management review


The Ideal Person


Working in a busy and fast-paced environment, it's crucial you are gifted in time management and organisation comes naturally to you. In addition, you have strong attention to detail, accuracy and take pride in your work. As a small team, everyone pitches in and no task is outside your job description, you are collaborative, a team player and not easily offended – this is a blue-collar environment with regular interaction with site staff. In addition, you will be:

* Minimum of 2 years prior Admin Experience
* Comfortable managing high volumes of emails, calls, and competing priorities
* A strong communicator – both written and verbal, able to liaise confidently with everyone from senior leaders to site staff
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems
* A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a busy, team-based environment
* A minimum of permanent residency is essential to be considered


Salary / Rate

* $70k - $90k (including 12% Superannuation)
