Job Description
With continued growth across NSW, we have opened an opportunity for a Fire Safety Engineer within our team in Sydney. You will be working with a close-knit, technically strong national fire safety team on a variety of projects.
How you'll make a difference
* Support the delivery of fire engineering projects from early concept through to completion, helping to develop practical, performance-based fire safety strategies that align with relevant codes and standards.
* Carry out fire risk assessments, evacuation analysis, and smoke control modelling, producing clear technical reports and documentation to support design decisions and approvals.
* Work closely with Senior and Principal Fire Engineers, as well as architects and other disciplines, to ensure fire safety solutions are well integrated into the overall project design.
* Contribute to client meetings and stakeholder discussions by providing technical input, helping manage project expectations, and ensuring key requirements are addressed throughout the design process.
* Stay up to date with fire engineering regulations, industry trends, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to projects and continuously improving the quality of deliverables.
Qualifications

* Ideally, 2 + years' experience as a Fire Safety Engineer.
* A relevant Engineering qualification (preferably in Fire Engineering) alongside a thorough understanding of the Building Code of Australia and the Australian Fire Engineering Guidelines.
* A track record of fire safety engineering projects and leading negotiations with approval authorities to gain acceptance of the performance-based design.
* Prior experience in the preparation of Performance Based Design Briefs, Fire Engineering Reports and Fire Engineering Strategies.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
