Job Overview
The role of Senior Electrical Inspector is to conduct workplace inspections and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Duties include investigating fatalities, traumatic accidents, and serious incidents, gathering evidence, and preparing prosecution reports.
Additionally, you will coordinate and/or undertake investigations, provide advice and information to management and other stakeholders, and present evidence in court as required.
You will be responsible for inspecting electrical installations, preparing documentation to enforce electrical, technical, and safety legislation, and conducting complex audits of network operators' systems. You will also respond to requests for regulatory and technical information, prepare presentations and training on electrical safety legislation, and liaise with employers and industry organisations to develop effective working relationships.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to mentor and coach Inspectors (Electricity), review and assess electrical safety systems, and work independently to achieve Directorate objectives. Travel within the State may be required for site visits and meetings.
