At MSS Security, we're looking for a confident and capable Security Officer – Full Time Reliever to become a trusted part of our Defence operations at a secured base in Singleton. This position plays a critical role in protecting Defence personnel, assets, and infrastructure through proactive patrols, access management, and strong on‐site presence.

We're looking for Security Officers who are calm under pressure, detail‐oriented and understand the importance of consistency in secure environments. This isn't your average security post – working on a Defence site means operating to a higher standard, where your professionalism and discretion have a direct impact on national operations.

• Australian Citizenship – required for Defence security clearance eligibility
• A current Security Licence valid in QLD
• Baseline Defence Clearance or must be willing to obtain a Baseline Clearance
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with Defence personnel and site stakeholders
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
• A solid sense of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail

• Access Control – Monitoring entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site.
• Foot Patrols – Conducting regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats.
• Stakeholder Liaison – Building rapport with Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors while delivering a strong security presence.
• Incident Response – Reacting promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behaviour.
• Compliance Monitoring – Ensuring site protocols and Defence security procedures are always followed.
• Reporting & Documentation – Accurately recording incidents, shift activities and observations in accordance with site requirements.
