About the role

As a clinical nurse specialist, your role as a leader in our organisation will help us shape the future of rural health, with your advanced clinical skills and collaborative and supportive mentoring style, leading the team to achieving our goal of healthier rural people and thriving communities. You will provide clinical leadership, advice and recommendations on all aspects of your specialist field of nursing, clinical supervision to nursing staff and be a role model for the team, providing nursing care on a regular basis.

Open communication skills and emotional intelligence are of vital importance to this role, as we're seeking someone to enhance our team with their positive influence and resilience. You'll demonstrate knowledge in applying research and evidence-based practice, with the ability to think critically, problem solve and link outcomes to the principles of continuous quality improvement in your clinical specialty field.

This position is in Forbes and is part of the wider Community & Allied Health nursing team across Lachlan Health Service. Lachlan Health Service incorporates both Parkes and Forbes and staff work across both sites when required.

As the Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 you will join a team of expert clinicians who provide patient centred care. The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Grade 2 delivers complex specialist nursing care and leads the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery to provide effective quality care for patients and clients with complex care needs.
