Pace Vic are excited to partner with an undisputed industry leader who are renowned for providing the market with high quality manufactured product. Their team are seeking a motivated and communicative Procurement Manager to join operations in their modern South East Melbourne head office, to drive procurement strategies and successfully execute project deliverables.
**About the role**
The Procurement Manager is a senior executive position that will be reporting to the CFO who will provide direction and support during your onboarding process. You will be an autonomous leader who can build relationships extremely well with internal and external stakeholders to maximise outcomes for the business. This role requires agility, adaptability and a proven experience in a fast-moving, dynamic environment or role. The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Developing best practice processes across business including ensuring efficiency for purchasing of goods, materials, and services;
- Implementing strategies to reduce procurement risks, cost reduction and optimisation of the procurement processes;
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships that drive innovative solutions cross departmentally and developing strategic partnerships with new suppliers
- Developing and maintaining long-term procurement strategies that can be easily communicated cross departmentally
- Being the central point of contact to manage RFPs and management of complex, value add contract negotiations, as well as issues and performance inefficiencies
**About you**:
- 3 + years experience in the FMCG / Food industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, SAP experience highly desired
- Strong financial background and strong commercial acumen
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of successful procurement strategies and processes
- Proven ability to be flexible, adaptable and proactive is crucial
- Strong knowledge of current transport, logistics and supply chain trends
- The desire to be a key part of a growing organisation long-term
- Excellent verbal and written communication, a crucial eye for detail and strong organisational skills
The successful applicant will have accumulated at least three years working experience as a Procurement Manager or Specialist with previous experience within the food manufacturing sector. A commercial mindset, superior communication skills and proven negotiation skills is a must in order to achieve in this role.
