Key regional leadership position Drive economic development, investment and collaboration Based in beautiful Mount Gambier About Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast (RDALC) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening the economic prosperity of the Limestone Coast region.
Working in partnership with Federal, State and Local government, industry, and community groups, RDALC delivers place-based initiatives, facilitates investment and provides trusted advice to inform regional policies and priorities.
About the role Reporting to the RDALC Board, the Chief Executive Officer provides strategic leadership and operational management with a small team, to deliver outcomes aligned to the RDA Charter and Funding Agreements.
This role is central to connecting people, ideas and investment, supporting regional economic development, innovation, diversification and the transition to a net zero economy.
The successful candidate will advocate strongly for the Limestone Coast using deep local knowledge and regional intelligence, and ensure strong governance, financial sustainability and organisational capability.
What you will do Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of RDALC in line with the Funding Agreement, Better Practice Guide and constitution Develop and deliver the Annual Business Plan, Budget, Annual Report, Audited Accounts and Communications Strategy Facilitate investment in people, places, services and industries across the Limestone Coast Provide high-quality data, insights and local intelligence to inform government policy and program design Build and maintain strong relationships across all three levels of government Engage meaningfully with diverse communities, including First Nations people Support decarbonisation initiatives and regional collaboration toward a net zero economy Provide trusted advice and support to the Board and Chair Ensure strong financial management, stewardship of public and grant funding, compliance and governance Lead, develop and support a high-performing team and safe, healthy workplace What we are looking for Proven senior executive leadership experience in complex environments Strong strategic thinking and analytical capability Demonstrated experience working with government and diverse stakeholders, including local government and grant-funded environments Highly developed communication, influence and stakeholder engagement skills Sound financial management and governance expertise, including funding management Experience leading people, organisational capability and change A collaborative, values-based leadership style aligned to integrity, transparency and accountability Experience in regional development, economic development and/or local government will be highly regarded.
