We have a permanent role suited for an outstanding leader to be our Support Services Manager across Northpark and La Trobe Private Hospitals in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.
Northpark Private Hospital is an exceptionally well-regarded private hospital serving a growing catchment area. Licensed beds exceed 100 across Mental Health, Surgical, Maternity and Early Parenting. Combined with 4 operating theatres, the hospital has provided a broad range of services to the local community for over 45 years.
La Trobe Private Hospital was re-opened in early 2024 following a substantial redevelopment. Located on the La Trobe University campus, it boasts 4 new operating theatres and a 34-bed inpatient surgical and medical ward.

Role summary
The Support Services Manager provides outstanding workforce and operational leadership to the hospitals to ensure delivery of exceptional care and commercial performance through their food services and environmental services teams.
Your key responsibilities will focus on leadership, strategic direction, and operational management. The position reports to the Director of Finance and is part of the senior leadership team. Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring support services teams provide a high standard of service delivery and outcomes within budget.
Supervising day to day catering operations, cleaning of patient rooms, public areas and laundry services
Managing rostering, staffing and supervision of teams
Compliance with relevant legislation and standards (food handling, cleaning, infection control).
Ensuring policies, procedures and safe work practices are upheld
Meeting safety, service, quality, financial and other organisational targets.

Proven performance in a similar operational role
Proven ability to improve budget performance and deliver business efficiencies
Successful track record with delivering accreditation and compliance requirements

Management of rostering and team management
Leadership capability to develop staff in delivering exceptional service
Demonstrated commitment towards quality improvement
Highly developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Flexibility and adaptability
Highly Desirable Criteria
Experience in Healthcare environments
Qualifications or experience in Hotel Operations and/or Management
