The Manager position in our Audit and Assurance division is a key role, with a focus on effectively managing projects and staff as well as being involved in wider unit business management. While our regional Australia audit practice is currently based in Ballarat, we service regional and rural clients all across Australia throughout a wide range of sectors. No two days are the same, and you will also have responsibilities for extensive client contact, staff training, business development, and liaising with third parties.
We are looking for a high-energy and self-motivated professional who wants:
a dynamic work schedule which includes the ability to combine working from home, at our client premises, and our recently refurbished office with flexible hours and programs. This includes the ability to travel throughout regional and rural Australia.
to enjoy a journey offering considerable scope to grow through participation in RSM Academy and RSM LAMP, our structured future leadership program.
to build long-lasting relationships with our established clients, being responsible for executing audit engagements, including ensuring completion of each engagement to a high-quality standard, within budget, and on or before deadlines. The ability to multitask the management of various audit engagements simultaneously with our engagement teams is essential.
to continue to learn and apply technical skills by identifying and addressing technical accounting and audit issues, performing reviews of financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards, and preparing reports and opinions for management and those charged with governance. This is supported through additional training at the national level.
to mentor and train staff by closely assisting our team with their development paths, in addition to performing reviews of audit work performed by junior team members to ensure methodology compliance.
This also includes assisting with management and coordination of the audit team, including hiring, scheduling, training, and monitoring staff wellbeing.
to become engaged in business development activities, including attending events, assisting with tender preparation, and delivering board presentations to attract new work, with recognition for your efforts.
to collaborate with our Partner and Director on wider business unit management, including budget setting, fee negotiation, WIP and debtor management, and contributing to management and team meetings.
