* Base Salary $103,185- $111,237+ 17% superannuation
About the opportunity

At the University of Sydney Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery (Sydney Nursing School)

we integrate teaching, research, and scholarship with practice and policy development, while fostering engagement with all health professions.

We are seeking an experienced Health Services Research project manager for the an exciting new Centre Program Manager position to support Melissa Baysari and the team in operational management of a new NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence (CRE). The "CRE in Human Factors and AI-enabled Clinical Decision Support" is being led by the Digital Health Human Factors Group. You will work on managing multiple CRE research projects and capacity building initiatives related to the design and implementation of clinical decision support systems.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
* perform operational project management support activities that contribute to the planning, establishment and smooth delivery of multiple research projects and capacity building initiatives within the CRE in Human Factors and AI-enabled Clinical Decision Support
* coordinate the collation, analysis and preparation of CRE data, documentation and research materials, ensuring all information is accurate and readily accessible for multidisciplinary project teams
* assist in mapping key CRE resources required for project commencement and ongoing delivery of research and capacity building initiatives
* coordinate detailed project and work stream plans, tracking activities and task implementation to ensure they align with overarching CRE goals and research priorities set by Chief Investigator Professor Melissa Baysari and collaborators
* monitor CRE activities, deliverables and research milestones across the three-hub collaboration (University of Sydney, Macquarie University and the University of Sunshine Coast), proactively identifying issues, risks or deviations and enabling timely escalation or corrective actions
* facilitate all project logistics, including scheduling stakeholder meetings, organising cross‐university workshops, coordinating investigator availability and arranging venues or virtual platforms as required
* assist to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners, fostering effective communication and shared understanding across hubs
* assist in project financial management, including monitoring research budgets, preparing financial reports, tracking expenditure across multiple institutions and identifying emerging financial risks or constraints
* set up and manage stakeholder meetings across the three‐hub Centre, including preparing agendas and briefing materials, coordinating attendance, capturing action items and supporting follow‐up activities
About you
* bachelor degree in a relevant discipline (health related desirable) and/or equivalent experience supporting complex health services research programs
* demonstrated experience engaging and collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, technology partners and cross‐university teams
* experience providing project management support within health services research, digital health or related multidisciplinary environments
* proven experience monitoring and managing budgets and expenditure across multi‐stream or multi‐site projects, including preparing financial reports and supporting resource planning
* strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects, deadlines and stakeholder requirements
* proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills for data analysis, tracking and reporting
* self‐motivated and proactive, with the initiative to streamline processes, identify opportunities for improvement and enhance the effectiveness of project operations.
