Job Overview

The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Business Manager and overseeing day-to-day operations to achieve production targets.

This key position is responsible for maintaining safety, quality, compliance and customer service standards.


About the Role

* Support the implementation of the Zero Harm Program including training, risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
* Plan, schedule and monitor production activities to meet efficiency and quality targets.
* Assist with reporting requirements, compliance activities and management reviews.


Responsibilities

1. Manage daily plant operations, including stock control and purchasing.
2. Lead, train and support staff for safe and efficient work practices.
3. Oversee Quality Control, internal audits and reporting requirements.
4. Foster positive relationships with suppliers, contractors and service providers.

We are looking for someone with 2+ years of experience in Timber Manufacturing/Treatment (or similar industry) and 1+ year of people management experience or studies.
