About the role
The Senior State Manager – Programs is a critical leadership role in Western Australia responsible for the strategic and operational management of a portfolio of state-wide programs that support:
* the participation and inclusion of migrants in transition (aligned with the migration sub-strategy),
* individual and community resilience, preparedness and recovery (aligned with the emergency services sub-strategy), and
The Senior State Manager – Programs is responsible for brokering local, regional, and state sector, community and government collaborations and partnerships to advance Red Cross' strategic and revenue generation objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong stakeholder engagement skills and be proficient in collaboration, resource planning and prioritisation, leadership and strategic planning.
You will demonstrate:

* Strong ability to use a data driven approach to monitor performance and impact, identify issues, and develop and implement corrective actions.
* Excellent understanding of key drivers of success within teams to enable achievement of organisational goals.
* Ability to work effectively in a national matrix management structure.
* Demonstrated capability to lead teams in continuous improvement approach to program implementation and ways of working.
* Proven track record as an effective and engaging leader, supporting and building positive and constructive relationships within teams.
* Excellent intercultural communication skills, and the ability to express ideas clearly, listen effectively and provide feedback constructively.
* Comprehensive demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing programs to consumers from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including (but not limited to) First Nations, CALD and LGBTQIA+.
* Ability to work under limited direction from manager
* Highly developed written communication skills including the ability to produce high-quality reports, promotional material, and the ability to edit and improve the work of others
* Highly developed verbal communication skills including strong presentation and public speaking skills
