About the role
In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee daily distribution centre operations, ensuring optimal performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with customer service standards. You will drive operational improvements, mentor teams, and deliver measurable results in safety, quality, and productivity.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading warehouse operations to meet budget and performance targets.
* Managing product distribution, inventory control, labour planning, and cost efficiency.
* Setting, monitoring, and publishing KPIs to ensure SLA compliance and continuous improvement.
* Building and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering accountability and professional growth.
* Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment through strong OH&S leadership.
* Driving operational excellence through process reviews, technology use, and workflow optimisation.
* Overseeing financial performance, P&L analysis, and accurate billing for value-added services.
* Ensuring site security, 5S workplace standards, and professional presentation.
About you
You are a results-driven operational leader with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for delivering outstanding customer outcomes. You thrive in fast-paced, complex environments and bring both strategic vision and hands-on management skills.
You will have:
* Previous experience as an Operations Manager or DC Manager in a medium-to-large facility.
* Proven success in 3PL, distribution, and road transport operations.
* Strong leadership skills in managing staff, unions, and contractors.
* Solid commercial acumen and analytical ability.
* Knowledge of RF technology, WMS, ERP systems, and statutory WHS/employee relations requirements.
* Advanced problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
