Life Without Barriers delivers Out of Home Care services across Australia, supporting children and young people who are unable to live safely at home. **About the Role**
We’re seeking a compassionate and committed **House Manager** to lead one of our residential care homes in Perth (NOR). Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations and create a safe, culturally respectful, and therapeutic environment for young people with complex needs.
This is a hands-on role based primarily on-site, with one day per week at our Leederville office. Some shift work is required, including public holidays and occasional early starts (7:30am) and weekends, with applicable penalty rates.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers
- Ensure the home is emotionally and physically safe, nurturing, and engaging
- Build robust, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Manage care planning, transitions, and stakeholder collaboration
- Roster staff appropriately and respond to crisis situations when needed
- Facilitate team meetings, reflective supervision, and ongoing training
- Keep client records and reports up to date using CIRTS database
**About You**
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or similar qualification)
- Experience supporting young people with trauma and high needs
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Confident in managing crisis situations and working under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
