ISH24 are confined space and workplace safety specialists, operating as an RTO (ID for confined space, working at heights, first aid, rescue and other nationally accredited training.

We are currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified and experienced Trainers / Assessors to join the team on a casual basis.

As a continuously growing RTO, we are expanding our roster to meet increasing client demand. Eligible candidates will have relevant industry experience and a passion for training and safety.

Our priority is finding individuals who are a strong cultural fit and can embrace the flexibility required for this varied role. We are a tight-knit team that values quality outcomes, accountability, reliability, transparent communication, and a positive sense of humour.

This opportunity is well suited to professionals with relevant industry experience, including those working shift rosters or seeking additional work in the training space.

Work volume will depend on client demand and individual availability.

While this is an Expression of Interest only, there may be opportunities for more regular or full-time employment in the future; however, this is not guaranteed.

Candidate Competency and Experience

We are seeking candidates with competency and experience to train & assess any of the following units:

* HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
* HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
* HLTAID014 - Provide Advanced First Aid
* HLTAID015 - Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
* RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces
* RIIWHS204E - Work safely at heights
* MSMWHS216 - Operate breathing apparatus
* MSMWHS217 - Gas test atmospheres
* UETDRMP007- Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
* MSMPER300 - Issue work permits
* MSMWHS201 - Conduct hazard analysis
* Fire Extinguisher / Fire Warden / Chief Warden

Courses above range in duration between 1/2 day to 3 days.

Trainers with experience in delivering Rescue Training, specifically disciplines falling within the RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue (vertical, confined space, fire, hazmat road crash rescue, underground search and rescue) and other relevant courses would also be highly regarded.

Rescue training courses range between 2 and 8 days.

Please note: eligible candidates are not required to hold all the competencies listed above. Trainers/assessors are allocated to engagements based on their area of expertise.

Engagement Locations

ISH24 training facilities are located in Bendigo and Goornong, VIC. Candidates must be able to reliably travel to these locations for training delivery.

Training is also frequently facilitated on client sites throughout regional and metropolitan Victoria, as well as interstate. As such, this role involves a certain level of travel, including possibility for long-distance trips. Flexibility and availability to travel are essential.

Candidates local to the Bendigo area (or within 1 hr drive) will be highly regarded.

Essential Requirements, Skills and Qualifications

Essential requirements:

* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110 acceptable)
* Competencies and proven experience to support ability to deliver training (successful candidates will also undergo ISH24 training in-house as part of the trainer/assessor onboarding process)
* Ability to deliver training at ISH24 Training Facilities (Bendigo & Goornong) and on client sites across Victoria & interstate.

To be the right fit for this role, the successful candidate will have:

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Sound time management and problem-solving skills
* Sound administration skills for reporting and maintaining accurate training records
* Flexibility to work in regional and metropolitan locations
* Current driver's license
* Current Working with children card
* Ability to provide clear police check (occasional site-access requirement for some client sites)
* Australian residency with unrestricted work rights

Remuneration

Pay rate negotiable based on level of experience and training delivery location.

Use of company vehicle provided for training engagements on client sites.

Accommodation & meals covered for remote or multi-day training engagements on client sites.
