About the program
Wesley Out of School Hours Care (Wesley OOSH) provides high quality before and after school care and vacation care to primary school aged children. We currently have services across Sydney and the Central Coast and are passionate about providing an environment that is warm, caring and engaging for children, staff, and families. We believe it is important that every child in our care feels at home in a secure environment where they can grow and learn.
About the role
As the Senior Educator, you will be part of the leadership team and step into charge of the day to day running of the OOSH centre when the Centre Coordinator isn’t there. You will work at least 3 split shifts per week during the school term, and block shifts during the school holidays for our Vacation Care program.
Our Porters Creek service is licenced for children and is in a dedicated space within the school.

You will also have a cooperative approach to working with stakeholders.

Essential criteria
12. an Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent (or working towards)
13. sound working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place
14. experience working in a children’s service
15. demonstrated ability to be encouraging and passionate about providing children with engaging activities
16. First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualification or willingness to obtain
17. Child protection Qualification or willingness to obtain
18. knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety
19. current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
20. excellent time management skills
21. thorough attention to detail
22. excellent written and verbal skills
23. proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Desirable criteria
24. previous OOSH experience
25. demonstrated ability to be creative
26. experience in facilitating group games and sports
27. current Driver’s Licence.
